Todd & Roxy

Our 7 month old bloodhound, Roxy, would not stop jumping on people, nipping at people, could not walk her on a leash, and would growl and bite when you approached her while eating. We scheduled an appointment with Nikki to address all of these issues. After the first 3 hour appointment, we had Roxy walking on a leash and obeying simple commands. Nikki taught us how to communicate with Roxy so that she can understand what we want from her.

The Ramsey Family

Our 14 year old son a severe seizure disorder and developmental delay which led us to seek out a service dog in order to increase his safety and independence in school and his community. Dory is amazing at her many tasks and works tirelessly for her boy every day, but had begun displaying more and more anxious behavior at home and in community settings. She became disruptive and reactive to other dogs in the home or in the community and often focused more on her surroundings than what Connor was asking of her. She would shake and whine and pant heavily and seemed completely unable to calm down if another dog was in the vicinity. We suspected why she was anxious, but my husband and I were stumped on how to help her and the company who originally trained her considered retiring her early. This would have been a huge disruption to our son’s life and a massive setback which we hoped to avoid if at all possible. We sought Nikki’s help on the recommendation of a good friend and she exceeded our expectations beyond our wildest hopes. Nikki helped us better understand Dory’s anxiety and worked with our son in a way he could understand to help his canine partner feel safe and secure. Not a day goes by that we don’t talk about and refer to Nikki’s methods with our son as the team navigates daily life skills.

Tecate and his humans

We love Nikki with Family Pack! Our pup Tecate was aggressive in our backyard during play time, needed help with recall and pulled my arm on every walk. In our first session with Nikki, we learned how to walk Tecate, play with him and he actually listened when we called his name! I had happy tears when he walked into the house with no commands (first time ever)! We look forward to working with Nikki again to help us on aggression towards other dogs and how to greet our friends at the door. We loved Nikki’s teaching and how she stayed very positive and calm with us. I would recommend Nikki to everyone!
